New symbols, grouped listings & v3 data

CleanShot 2026-10-23 at 15.34.26@2x.png

The website now runs on v3, the same data as API v3.
We promised this in the last two updates, and it's finally here 🥳🥳🥳

New symbol format. Symbols now use the official EXCHANGE:TICKER format that exchanges and terminals use: LSE:DGE, TSE:7203. We used to use TICKER.SUFFIX symbols (DGE.L, 7203.T). Company URLs follow the new format, e.g. /quote/TSE-7203. US stocks that trade on one US exchange keep their short URL, like /quote/AAPL (It's a matter of time). Old links redirect to the new address and keep the tab and query string, so your bookmarks still work.

All of a company's listings in one place. Many companies trade on more than one exchange. The company header now has a listings dropdown with "Primary listing" and "Also traded on". Pick a listing to open it on the same tab. Search works the same way: one row per company, and you expand the row to see every listing.

Heads-up: The currency selector now offers the company's own reporting and pricing currencies plus 9 others: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, CNY, and INR. Old links with a different ?currency= open in the reporting currency.

New

103 exchanges – Company pages, search, and the A–Z company catalog now cover listings on 103 exchanges.

Better earnings call transcripts – Transcripts now come from our new v3 pipeline, the same one behind the API. Companies without calls no longer show an empty Transcripts tab.

News for non-US companies – Non-US companies, such as Toyota (TSE:7203), now have a news section.

Half-year reports – Financials, ratios, and charts label periods H1/H2 for companies that report every six months, which is common in the UK and Australia. The period selector shows "Semi-annual" for these companies.

Improvements

Search now handles typos ("appel", "nvida"), puts popular tickers first ("tsl" finds TSLA), and ranks an exact symbol such as XETR:APC at the top. It's also much faster.

In search, press ←/→ to switch between Financials and Summary or to open a company's other listings.

The summary stock chart uses total-return prices, adjusted for splits and dividends.

Prices under $10 show 3 decimals.

Statistics cards show the date the data is from and the currency of each money value. They also hide rows that have no data.

The currency selector and info panels show real currency codes, e.g. "USD / GBX".

The A–Z handbook shows one row per company. Share classes and OTC listings (GOOGL/GOOG, ASML/ASMLF) appear under the primary listing.

When logged out, the download buttons (Excel, CSV, copy) send you to sign up or log in, then bring you back to the page. On the free plan, they open the upgrade dialog.

AI chat looks up companies by name in roic.ai data and no longer falls back to web search. Questions about a company's business model also use its income statement.

Stock split pages have up to five FAQs per company, such as "How many times has Apple stock split?" The headings are now "Latest Stock Split" and "Stock Split History".

The live chat bubble is hidden on news pages.

Fixes

Fixed growth on the Charts tab comparing a quarter with the wrong period from the year before.

Fixed tables with no data showing rows of dashes. They now show an empty state.

Fixed the 52-week change sentence saying "declined approximately -12.34%".

A price change of zero is now grey and has no "+" sign.

Opening a chat link that doesn't exist shows "Chat not found" and a "Start a new chat" button instead of a blank chat.

Fixed an error on the screener when a link had a malformed search query.

Misc

Added /llms.txt so AI assistants and agents can find our docs, plan limits, and OpenAPI spec.

Coming

US stocks will move to the full format too.
Earnings calls: PDF previews, mp3 files 😮
