This field includes the total amount of money that borrowers owe to the company for loans minus the amount that the company thinks it may not collect. Loans are agreements to lend money at an interest rate for a specified period of time. This field does not include loans that will be paid in more than a year or loans that related companies owe to the company. This field is a short-term asset on the balance sheet.
