Other long-term assets may include total intangible assets, goodwill, other intangible assets, deferred tax assets, derivative and hedging assets, and miscellaneous long-term assets. These assets are expected to provide benefits or returns beyond one year and are not primarily held for sale or consumption. They may represent the value of the business’s brand, reputation, technology, contracts, tax advantages, risk management or other sources of competitive advantage.
