Description

The amount of net cash generated or used by discontinued operations during a specific period. Discontinued operations are parts of a company’s core business or product line that have been divested or shut down, and which are reported separately from continuing operations on the income statement. Net cash from discontinued operations includes the cash inflows and outflows from the operating, investing, and financing activities of the discontinued operations. Net cash from discontinued operations is added to or subtracted from net cash from continuing operations to calculate net cash provided by (used in) operating activities on the cash flow statement.
