Description
The net amount of increase or decrease in cash and cash equivalents during a given period. Net changes in cash is calculated as the sum of cash flows from operating, investing, and financing activities, plus the effect of foreign exchange rates. Net changes in cash is reported as the bottom line of the cash flow statement and represents the change in the cash and cash equivalents balance from the beginning to the end of the period.
