Description
The number of shares that a company would have if all the securities that can be turned into shares were actually turned into shares. This number is used to calculate Diluted EPS, which is a measure of how much money a company earns for each share. It includes not only the shares that are already issued, but also the shares that could be created from things like employee stock options, convertible bonds, or preferred stock.
