• Baird analyst Tristan Gerra increases NVIDIA's price target to $225 from $195, maintaining an Outperform rating.
  • The upgrade is driven by accelerating GB200 shipments in July and the on-track launch of the more powerful GB300 platform for late September.
  • NVIDIA's dominance in AI GPUs is expected to continue through 2025, supported by TSMC's expanding CoWoS packaging capacity.

Baird analyst Tristan Gerra has raised the firm's price target on NVIDIA to $225, up from $195, citing stronger revenue and earnings per share estimates. The Outperform rating was reaffirmed, reflecting confidence in the chipmaker's ability to exceed current market expectations.

The revision comes as shipments of the GB200 AI platform have accelerated into July, with momentum expected to build further. According to the analyst note, the launch of the next-generation GB300 platform remains on track for late September. The GB300 is anticipated to deliver major performance gains over the current GB200, reinforcing NVIDIA's product leadership.

Supply chain dynamics also support the bullish outlook. TSMC's CoWoS advanced packaging capacity, a critical bottleneck for AI GPU production, is projected to nearly double by 2026. This expansion is forecast to grow by 50% year-over-year in both 2026 and 2027, ensuring that supply can keep pace with the insatiable demand for AI accelerators.

Competitive pressures appear muted for the foreseeable future. Baird's analysis suggests the competitive landscape for AI GPUs remains favorable for NVIDIA through at least 2025. The firm's networking products are also gaining significant traction. The Spectrum-X platform is seeing increased adoption at major cloud data centers, supported by partnerships with Cisco, Meta, and xAI. Meanwhile, the ConnectX-8 is targeting a commanding 80–90% share of the AI server market.

Beyond hardware, NVIDIA's ecosystem is expanding rapidly. The Nvidia Cloud Partners (NCP) program is scaling quickly to deliver GPU and AI services directly to enterprise private clouds, opening a new and substantial revenue stream.

Attempts to reach NVIDIA for additional comment on the timing of the GB300 launch were not immediately returned. The company's execution on its product roadmap and its deepening partnerships across the cloud and enterprise sectors continue to solidify its dominance in the AI infrastructure market.
