Kashmir Plunged Into Darkness

A complete power blackout struck all districts of Indian-administered Kashmir late Wednesday night, according to multiple residents and local officials. The outage comes during a period of heightened military tensions between India and Pakistan following recent missile strikes.

While officials at the Kashmir Power Development Department described the blackout as a "technical grid failure," several residents noted the timing appeared unusual given the current security situation.
