Business
BlueNord ASA is a Norwegian independent oil and gas company focused on the production and development of hydrocarbons in the Danish North Sea to support Europe's energy security and the transition toward net zero emissions. The company holds a 36.8% non-operated interest in the Danish Underground Consortium (DUC), which operates four production hubs--Dan, Gorm, Halfdan, and Tyra--encompassing 15 fields, four export pipelines, and associated infrastructure; it produces oil and gas from these mature assets, with additional involvement in exploration, carbon capture and storage (CCS) via its subsidiary CarbonCuts, and emissions reduction initiatives including gas lift projects on Halfdan, lifetime extension on Gorm, and Tyra reinstatement activities. BlueNord, founded in 2005 and headquartered in Oslo, Norway, maintains offices in Copenhagen, London, and the Netherlands, serving European markets with net production averaging around 37 mboepd in recent quarters, backed by significant reserves of over 220 mmboe net 2P and contingent resources plus more than 200 mmboe longer-term 2C. In 2025, BlueNord completed the redemption of its BNOR15 convertible bonds through a tender offer and refinanced with a USD 300 million subordinated hybrid bond and a USD 1.4 billion reserve-based lending facility; it launched its first shareholder distributions totaling over USD 250 million year-to-date including cash dividends treated as paid-in capital repayments, initiated a USD 50 million share buyback program, achieved Tyra hub completion test and ramp-up to near-plateau levels of approximately 30 mboepd net, and advanced CarbonCuts' onshore CO2 storage license on Lolland with exploration targeting storage start by 2030.
