Business
Fidelity International Momentum ETF (FCIM.TO) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to replicate, to the extent reasonably possible and before fees and expenses, the performance of the Fidelity Canada International Momentum Index. The ETF invests primarily in equity securities of large- and mid-capitalization companies with principal business activities outside Canada and the U.S. that exhibit positive momentum signals; it provides exposure to diversified sectors including financials, industrials, information technology, consumer staples, communication services, utilities, real estate, health care, consumer discretionary, energy, and materials across developed international markets such as Japan, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, Netherlands, Singapore, and Italy. Launched on June 5, 2020 and domiciled in Canada, the ETF is managed by Fidelity Investments Canada ULC, headquartered at 483 Bay Street, Suite 300, Toronto, Ontario, with portfolio sub-management by Geode Capital Management, LLC; units trade on Cboe Canada with annual distributions, a management expense ratio of 0.48%, and net assets exceeding $800 million as of late 2025. Recent developments include a name change from Fidelity International Momentum Index ETF, as reflected in updated ETF facts documentation; a 3-for-1 unit subdivision effective March 4, 2021 to enhance liquidity; and migration to Cboe Canada in March 2024 alongside eleven other Fidelity ETFs representing over $2.5 billion in assets under management. The ETF maintains its quarterly rebalanced index-tracking strategy amid Fidelity Investments Canada ULC's broader expansions, such as launching new All-in-One ETFs in June 2025 and additional ETF series in October 2025, alongside routine capital gains distributions announced in November 2025.
