Business
Forvia SE is a global automotive technology group specializing in the design, manufacturing, and marketing of advanced automotive equipment and technology solutions. Founded in 2022 from the merger of Faurecia and HELLA, the company is headquartered in Nanterre, France, and operates worldwide, including key markets in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Forvia's core products and services span six main business units: Seating, Interiors, Clean Mobility, Electronics, Lighting, and Lifecycle Solutions. The Seating segment develops and manufactures complete vehicle seats, seating frames, and adjustment mechanisms. Interiors include instrument panels, door panels, center consoles, and modules. Clean Mobility focuses on exhaust systems, fuel cell vehicle solutions, zero-emission hydrogen technologies, and aftertreatment solutions for commercial vehicles. Electronics combines Faurecia and HELLA portfolios, offering display technologies, driver assistance systems, cockpit electronics, sensors, actuators, automated driving electronics, and energy management systems. The Lighting segment provides advanced lighting technologies, including design lighting and lighting for driver assistance systems. Lifecycle Solutions delivers a comprehensive range of spare parts, wear parts, accessories, and workshop equipment for various vehicle types including trucks, buses, and agricultural machinery. Recent major changes include the 2022 merger that established Forvia, positioning it as the seventh largest international automotive parts manufacturer and the global leader in vehicle interiors and emission control technology. The company has accelerated strategic initiatives such as the EU-FORWARD plan targeting significant headcount reductions and operational efficiencies to realize over €400 million in cost synergies with Forvia HELLA by the end of 2025. In 2024, Forvia achieved high order intake and recorded revenues of approximately €27 billion, reflecting solid momentum across all segments. The company has advanced its sustainability commitments with a Net Zero emissions trajectory by 2045, achieving a 67% reduction in scopes 1 and 2 emissions compared to 2019. Additionally, Forvia has expanded its software ecosystem by acquiring full ownership of its automotive apps business, rebranded as Appning, thereby strengthening its position in automotive software and digital services. Forvia continues to invest in electrification, automated driving, sustainable mobility technologies, and integrated cockpit solutions to drive the transformation in the automotive industry globally.
