Business
Golden Cross Resources Limited (ASX:GCR) is an Australia-based mineral exploration company focused on gold, copper and base metals. The company explores for copper, gold, silver, molybdenum, lead, zinc, iron oxide, phosphate, uranium, rare earth elements and other base metals; its flagship asset is the 100% owned Copper Hill project near Molong in central New South Wales, which hosts a resource of 520,000 tonnes of copper and 1,720,000 ounces of gold within a constrained open pit; additional projects include the Quidong Base Metal Project, Cobar Region's Kilparney Extended Project, West Wyalong and the Gawler Craton IOCG project. Golden Cross Resources operates solely in Australia, targeting resource deposits in New South Wales and other regions. Incorporated in 1994 and headquartered in Hornsby, New South Wales, the company is a subsidiary of HQ Mining Resources Holding Pty Ltd. Recent activities encompass ongoing surface geochemistry and geophysical gravity surveys at Copper Hill, completion of induced polarisation surveys at Burra, changes in board roles and office address in August 2025, release of the 2025 annual report in October 2025, and a temporary suspension from ASX quotation in December 2024.
