iShares € Corp Bond 0-3yr ESG UCITS ETF (IE3E.DE) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of the Bloomberg MSCI Euro Corp 0-3 ESG SRI Index by investing in investment-grade, euro-denominated corporate bonds with remaining maturities of less than three years that meet environmental, social and governance (ESG) sustainability criteria. The ETF employs a physical sampling replication method to hold a diversified portfolio of such bonds from issuers including BNP Paribas SA, Societe Generale SA, Banco Santander SA, Banque Federative du Credit Mutuel SA and ING Groep NV; it is accumulating in structure, with a total expense ratio of 0.12% and assets under management of approximately EUR 1,376 million. Domiciled in Ireland and issued by BlackRock's iShares brand, the fund targets institutional and retail investors seeking low-duration, ESG-screened fixed income exposure primarily in the Eurozone corporate bond market. Launched on 25 May 2022 and listed on exchanges including Deutsche Boerse Xetra, Borsa Italiana and others, the ETF operates without currency hedging and excludes issuers involved in controversial activities such as tobacco, gambling or nuclear power. Geographically, it focuses on eurozone issuers across countries like France, Germany, Italy and Spain, providing limited interest-rate sensitivity suitable for conservative fixed income strategies. The fund engages in securities lending to offset costs, generating modest returns with an average on-loan balance of around 6-7% of AUM and collateralization exceeding 105%.
