iShares Dow Jones Global Sustainability Screened UCITS ETF (IUSL.DE) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of the Dow Jones Global Best-In-Class Index ex Alcohol, Tobacco, Gambling, Armaments & Firearms and Adult Entertainment, which selects the top 20% of the largest 2,500 sustainability leaders from the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index based on long-term economic, environmental, and social criteria. The ETF employs a physical optimized sampling replication method, accumulating dividends for reinvestment, with a total expense ratio of 0.60% p.a.; it invests in global public equities across diversified sectors, excluding controversial industries, and targets institutional and retail investors seeking sustainable exposure. Launched on February 25, 2011, and domiciled in Ireland as part of iShares II plc, an open-ended investment company managed by BlackRock Advisors (UK) Limited, with State Street Custodial Services (Ireland) Limited as custodian and administrator, the fund maintains assets under management of approximately EUR 102 million and trades primarily on the Xetra exchange in USD (currency unhedged). Geographically, it provides broad exposure to developed and emerging markets worldwide, with primary listings in Europe including Germany, the UK, and others. In recent developments, S&P Dow Jones Indices announced the annual rebalancing and reconstitution of the underlying Dow Jones Sustainability Indices in December 2024, with changes effective February 10, 2025, alongside a rebranding to Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices while retaining S&P Global CSA Scores as a key selection factor.
