Business
Jakharia Fabric Ltd. engages in the dyeing, processing and finishing of fabrics primarily on a job work basis for other textile companies as well as for its own product lines. The company offers blended polyester viscose fabrics; polyester and rayon fabrics; cotton linen fabrics; lycra fabrics; modal fabrics; rayon fabrics; and yarn processing services, with fabrics especially suited for shirtings and other apparel applications. Incorporated in 2007 and headquartered in Palghar, Maharashtra, India, with manufacturing units in Bhiwandi, Thane district and Tarapur, Palghar district, the company operates solely in the textile processing segment and serves domestic markets through its association with the Jakharia Group, which has been active in textiles since 1987; it maintains related entities including Jakharia Synthetics Pvt Ltd and Jakharia Industries. In recent developments, the company achieved a significant financial turnaround in fiscal year 2023-24, reporting net profit of Rs 33.67 lakhs after a prior year loss, driven by 1.67% revenue growth to Rs 8,880 lakhs, cost efficiencies and improved operational yields. On June 30, 2024, family members of the Jakharia Group executed a Memorandum of Family Arrangement to segregate ownership, control and management among family branches, prompting multiple director resignations effective September 5, 2024, including Jignesh H. Shah, Dixit Shah, Himatlal Shah and Manekchand Shah, alongside the appointment of Sejal Nitin Shah as executive director and a shift in registered office to Plot No A 13, MIDC Tarapur, Boisar. These changes, disclosed per SEBI LODR regulations, reflect a strategic realignment in governance without altering the core business focus.
