Business
Jameson Resources Limited (ASX:JAL) is an Australia-based junior resources company focused on the acquisition, exploration, and development of metallurgical coal projects in western Canada. The company holds a 77.8% interest in NWP Coal Canada Ltd, which owns a 90% interest in the flagship Crown Mountain Hard Coking Coal Project located in the Elk Valley of British Columbia; it also maintains a 100% direct interest in the Dunlevy Coal Project in the same region. Through its subsidiary, Jameson develops premium hard coking coal assets strategically positioned near electrical grid, gas, all-season roads, Canadian Pacific rail lines, and three deepwater ports on British Columbia's west coast, targeting steelmakers with low sovereign risk operations in Canada's premier steelmaking coal district. Founded in 2007 and headquartered at Level 41, 161 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, New South Wales, the company operates in the coking coal segment of the basic materials industry, with two employees and a pure-play focus on sustainable steelmaking coal development alongside selective growth opportunities in Canada and Australia. Recent developments include a A$3.5 million capital raise in May 2025 via nearly 100 million new shares at A$0.035 each to fund technical studies for environmental assessments involving Indigenous Nations, regulators, and the public; an additional A$3 million placement to King George Investments Pty Ltd announced in early December 2025 at A$0.06 per share; a prior A$5.25 million raise in August 2024; and ongoing collaboration with Bathurst Resources Limited to advance Crown Mountain permitting and funding toward production.
