Maisons du Monde S.A. (MDM.PA) creates, markets and sells furniture, home decoration and lifestyle products through an omnichannel network of stores, websites and catalogs in France and internationally; its core offerings encompass decorative items such as bed linens, carpets, candles, pillows and cushions, clocks, tableware, lamps, kitchen utensils, mirrors and frames, vases, storage units, curtains, bath products and pet accessories; furniture including sofas, chairs, beds, mattresses, bedframes, tables, bookshelves, wardrobes, cupboards, junior furniture and outdoor collections; and ancillary services like warehouse logistics, order preparation and container transport, with select manufacturing via joint ventures in China and Vietnam under the Maisons du Monde brand. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Vertou, France, the company operates approximately 350 stores across Europe and beyond, targeting consumers seeking stylish, sustainable home atmospheres with around 7.5 million customers and 6,000 employees. In recent developments, Maisons du Monde reported 2024 annual results in line with expectations amid challenging markets, maintains €200 million in liquidity with bank financing extended to 2028 including covenant adjustments, posted a 4.9% Q3 2025 revenue increase to €224.7 million, launched category extensions into bathroom products, outdoor lighting and pet accessories, formed a partnership with Michelin-starred chef Maurice Lacau for exclusive collections, simplified its operating model through 10% SKU reductions and 50% supplier base cuts by year-end 2025 versus 2022 levels, and pursues store openings via affiliates and franchises alongside online customer experience enhancements for a return to growth in 2025-2026.
