Mulberry Group plc designs, manufactures and retails luxury leather goods and lifestyle accessories under the Mulberry brand; its core products encompass women's bags including crossbody bags, shoulder bags, tote bags, clutches and evening bags, mini and micro bags, top handle bags, bucket bags and backpacks; iconic lines such as Bayswater, Islington and Lily; small leather goods; men's accessories comprising briefcases, messenger bags, backpacks, wallets, purses, sunglasses, scarves, hats, gloves, belts, cufflinks and keyrings; ready-to-wear apparel, shoes, travel items, home products and gifts; the company operates through omni-channel retail including digital platforms representing 36% of revenue, nearly 100 stores, franchises and wholesale channels across approximately 190 countries with primary markets in the UK, North America, Asia Pacific and Rest of World. Founded in 1971 and headquartered at The Rookery in Chilcompton, Somerset, United Kingdom, Mulberry maintains two factories in Somerset and international offices in New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai and Seoul; it is the largest maker of luxury leather goods in the UK, certified B Corp since September 2024 with Science-Based Targets initiative-approved carbon reduction goals. In January 2025, the company launched its "Back to the Mulberry Spirit" turnaround strategy emphasizing simplification, brand realignment and customer connection, targeting over £200 million in annual revenue and 15% adjusted EBIT margin medium-term; leadership changes included appointing Andrea Baldo as CEO in September 2024, Billie O’Connor as CFO in February 2025, and executives for operations, creative studio and product; it raised £10.4 million via share issuance in October 2024 and a further £20 million convertible loan note underwritten by majority shareholder Challice Limited in June 2025; operational shifts involved reducing inventory by £14.9 million, cutting operating costs 25% annualized versus prior year, closing or rightsizing loss-making stores including 12 in Asia Pacific, forming new wholesale partnerships with Flannels, John Lewis, Liberty, Harvey Nichols and Nordstrom, and launching the "A Return to Somerset" brand campaign post year-end.
