Business
Rubis SCA Rubis SCA (RUI.PA) is a Paris-based French energy group founded in 1990 that specializes in the bulk liquid storage of petroleum products, chemicals, biofuels, fertilizers, edible oils, and agrifood products; retail and distribution of fuels, heating oils, lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas, bitumen, aviation fuel, marine fuel, and commercial fuel oil; logistics services including trading-supply, refining via the SARA refinery, and shipping; and renewable electricity production through photovoltaic installations developed, financed, operated, and maintained by its Photosol subsidiary. Rubis SCA operates through Rubis Energie for energy distribution, Rubis Support and Services for logistics, and Rubis Renouvelables for solar power, serving commercial and industrial customers such as energy groups, chemical firms, traders, hypermarkets, service stations, hotels, aviation, marine, public works, and power generation sectors across more than 40 countries primarily in Europe including France, the Caribbean including Jamaica, Barbados, Haiti, and Guyana, and Africa including South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Angola, Rwanda, Zambia, and others with headquarters at 46 Rue Boissière, Paris. Recent developments include the completion in October 2024 of the sale of its 55% stake in Rubis Terminal (rebranded Tepsa) to I Squared Capital to fund growth in energy distribution and renewables; strong Q3 2025 performance with 6% volume growth in retail and marketing, 9% gross margin increase, 17% bitumen volume surge, and 23% expansion of operational solar assets to 633 MWp alongside a 25% rise in secured portfolio to 1.3 GWp; and ongoing expansion such as 15 new service stations in Uganda alongside new contract wins in Barbados for power generation.
