iShares STOXX Europe 600 Technology UCITS ETF (DE) (Ticker: STEC.AS) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to replicate the performance of the STOXX Europe 600 Technology Index by investing in a portfolio of equities from large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap companies operating in the European technology sector; it employs full physical replication and distributes dividends at least annually. The ETF, domiciled in Germany and managed by BlackRock Asset Management Deutschland AG, a subsidiary of BlackRock, Inc., provides investors with targeted exposure to European technology firms including top holdings such as Infineon Technologies AG, Amadeus IT Group SA, Dassault Systemes SE, Capgemini SE, and ASM International NV; it lists primarily on Euronext Amsterdam under STEC.AS with a total expense ratio of approximately 0.46% and assets under management of around EUR 179 million. Launched on April 25, 2001, and headquartered in Munich, Germany, the fund operates across developed European equity markets without currency hedging. In recent years, the ETF underwent a name change from iShares (DE) I - iShares STOXX Europe 600 Technology (DE) to its current designation, reflecting standardization within the iShares product suite. BlackRock Asset Management Deutschland AG, the fund manager established in 2000 and regulated by BaFin, continues to benefit from parent company BlackRock's strategic initiatives, including a November 2025 partnership and capital investment with AccessFintech to enhance post-trade connectivity and Aladdin platform integration for ETF operations. These developments support ongoing portfolio efficiency amid BlackRock's broader expansions in ETF innovation and global asset management.
