CI Morningstar US Momentum Index ETF (CAD Hedged) (TSX: YXM) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to replicate, to the extent possible, the performance of the Morningstar US Target Momentum Index, net of expenses; it invests directly in equity securities of the largest and most liquid U.S. issuers selected based on proprietary Morningstar research demonstrating positive momentum in earnings and price, providing diversified exposure to U.S. equities on a Canadian dollar hedged basis. The ETF offers unhedged units under the ticker YXM.B and targets investors seeking U.S. equity exposure with medium to high risk tolerance, quarterly cash distributions when available, and a management expense ratio of approximately 0.65% as of mid-2023. Launched in October 2013 and managed by CI Global Asset Management Inc., a subsidiary of CI Financial Corp. founded in 1965 and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the fund operates primarily in North American capital markets with a focus on U.S. large-cap momentum strategies. In recent years, the ETF underwent rebranding from First Asset Morningstar US Momentum Index ETF to CI First Asset Morningstar US Momentum Index ETF in April 2019 following CI Financial's integration of First Asset, and further simplified to its current CI Morningstar branding in April 2021 to align with CI Global Asset Management's unified product lineup. CI Global Asset Management completed several mutual fund and ETF mergers in April 2024, including transactions involving the CI Morningstar US Momentum Index ETF series, optimizing its ETF offerings amid ongoing portfolio expansions. The firm announced December 2025 distributions for the ETF at $0.2716 per unit, reflecting continued operational stability and investor cash flow support, with total net assets standing at approximately $9.4 million CAD as of early 2024.
