Welcome to ROIC AI ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our platform at https://roic.ai and its associated API services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Service Description

ROIC AI is a financial data and research platform designed for investors. Our services include:

  • Access to over 30 years of historical financial data covering 60,000+ publicly traded companies across 70+ global exchanges
  • Financial statements, ratios, valuation metrics, stock prices, and company profiles
  • A stock screener for filtering and analyzing companies by custom criteria
  • An AI-powered research assistant for investment analysis
  • A Financial Data API for programmatic access to our data
  • Earnings call transcripts and company news
  • Data export capabilities in JSON, Excel, and TSV formats

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Failure to comply constitutes a breach of these terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

ROIC AI offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Paddle. Your subscription will automatically renew under the same conditions unless you cancel it before the next billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy and applicable consumer protection laws.

5. API Usage

Access to the ROIC AI Financial Data API is subject to the terms of your subscription plan. You agree not to exceed the rate limits or usage quotas associated with your plan. API keys are personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for securing your API key and must not share it publicly. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access if we detect abuse or excessive usage.

6. Data and Disclaimers

The financial data, research tools, and AI-generated content provided through our platform are for informational purposes only and do not constitute investment advice, financial advice, or any other form of professional advice. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data. You should independently verify all information before making any investment decision. ROIC AI is not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial institution.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of ROIC AI and its licensors. Our aggregated datasets, platform design, trademarks, and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of ROIC AI. Data obtained through the API may only be used in accordance with your subscription plan and may not be redistributed or resold without explicit authorization.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service:

  • For any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
  • To scrape, crawl, or harvest data beyond the access granted by your plan
  • To redistribute, resell, or sublicense data obtained from the platform without authorization
  • To interfere with, disrupt, or place an undue burden on the Service or its infrastructure
  • To attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or any systems or networks connected to the Service

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may also terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event will ROIC AI, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service, or from any investment decisions made based on information obtained through the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
