The institution structures its operations across Corporate Banking, Retail Banking, and Financial Market Business divisions, alongside other ancillary services. Within its Corporate Banking segment, the bank facilitates various financing options, including working capital, fixed asset, trade, and small and medium-sized enterprise funding. It also manages domestic and international settlements, provides bill acceptance and discounting, and offers financial leasing products. The Retail Banking division caters to individual clients with demand and time deposit accounts, a range of personal and mortgage loans, credit cards, and specialized wealth management offerings. Through its Financial Market Business, the bank engages in money market placements, inter-bank activities, investment and repurchase transactions, and foreign exchange services. The bank emphasizes a robust digital presence, offering internet, mobile, SMS, WeChat, and telephone banking, alongside e-commerce platforms. Established in 1952 and headquartered in Guangzhou, People's Republic of China, the bank has grown to become a significant regional player. It maintains an extensive network of physical and digital service channels, including numerous ATMs and branches spread across Guangzhou, as well as locations in other Guangdong cities like Foshan, Qingyuan, Heyuan, Zhaoqing, and Zhuhai. Beyond Guangdong, it has established or invested in rural banks in multiple provinces across China. Recent strategic movements include a partnership in January 2023 with The Bank of East Asia to enhance cross-boundary wealth management initiatives. Furthermore, the bank recently concluded its 2025 extraordinary general meeting, where an asset transfer proposal received strong shareholder approval.
