- Harmony Electronics Co. Ltd is a Taiwan-based company specializing in the manufacturing and sales of precision quartz crystal products. Its core product portfolio includes crystal oscillators such as voltage-controlled crystal oscillators (VCXOs), temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs), oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs); quartz resonators available in surface mount, through-hole, and ceramic packages; as well as high-frequency clock oscillators and other quartz electronic components. These products serve a broad array of applications including consumer electronics, data communications, automotive electronics (such as engine control units, transmission control units, electric vehicle systems), industrial systems, medical devices, and telecommunications.
Founded in 1979, Harmony Electronics operates manufacturing facilities in Taiwan, China, and recently expanded in Southeast Asia with a new high-tech manufacturing facility launched in Om Noi, Thailand, in the second half of 2025. This addition marks its second facility in Thailand and supports increased market demand, supply chain resilience, and risk mitigation. The new plant focuses on the production of high-quality crystal resonators, particularly miniature packages essential for emerging technology applications in AI, IoT, upgraded Wi-Fi standards, servers, and telecommunications. The facility is automated for 24/7 operations and is progressing towards industry certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF-16949.
In 2024, Harmony Electronics reported consolidated operating revenue of approximately NT$2.93 billion and a net profit after tax of NT$262 million, reflecting significant year-over-year improvements. The company has strategically repositioned its leadership alongside the Thailand expansion to drive long-term growth. Harmony remains focused on expanding its industrial applications and data communications product segments to leverage growth in AI, automotive electronics, and IoT markets amid global trade and tariff challenges. These recent strategic moves enhance Harmony's competitive positioning and global supply chain robustness, addressing surging demand and advancing its leadership in precision timing components internationally.
