Business
Aumann AG designs and delivers advanced specialized machinery and comprehensive production lines for both electric and conventional powertrain components, operating across North America, Europe, and Asia. The company organizes its activities into two principal divisions: E-Mobility and Classic. The E-Mobility segment is dedicated to engineering and manufacturing custom machines and automated lines for the electrification of vehicles, encompassing solutions for electric motors, hybrid modules, battery systems, fuel cells, and sophisticated power electronics. This segment's offerings enable the mass production of highly efficient electric drive units and related components, representing a significant majority of the company's revenue in recent years. Concurrently, the Classic segment develops and provides specialized equipment and automated production lines for traditional internal combustion engine components, such as assembled camshafts and cylinder deactivation modules, which aid in reducing CO2 emissions. Beyond automotive applications, this division also serves clients in consumer electronics, white goods, aerospace, and various other industrial sectors, providing solutions for winding, assembly, and testing. Founded in 1936, the German-headquartered firm strategically focuses on leveraging its deep automation expertise and longstanding customer relationships, particularly within the evolving e-mobility landscape, to provide turnkey manufacturing solutions globally. The company has recently expanded its technological portfolio through acquisitions, such as LACOM in 2023, a specialist in laminating and coating for battery and fuel cell technology, further solidifying its position as a full-service provider for complex e-mobility production.
