PT Bank Amar Indonesia Tbk PT Bank Amar Indonesia Tbk is an Indonesia-based digital bank that operates as a non-foreign exchange private commercial bank, focusing on retail customers and micro, small, and medium enterprises through its Online, Brick and Mortar, and Head Office segments; its core products and services include digital funding via the Tunaiku app for non-collateral loans and the Senyumku app for transactions, alongside conventional offerings such as Aster Savings, Amar Dana Savings, Tabungan Amar Cemerlang, Tabungan Amar Berjangka, Tabungan Pegawai, Deposito Berjangka, Deposito on Call, AMAR GIRO Perorangan, AMAR GIRO Perusahaan, Kredit Modal Kerja, Kredit Investasi, Amar Payroll Service, demand deposits, savings accounts, time deposits, certificates of deposit, working capital loans, investment loans, multi-purpose consumer loans, housing loans, debit cards, digital account opening, transfers, direct debit, bill payments, and treasury management. Founded in 1991 as PT Anglomas International Bank in Surabaya and rebranded to its current name in 2014 following acquisition by Tolaram Pte. Ltd., which remains its controlling shareholder, the company is headquartered at Jl. Basuki Rahmat No. 109 in Surabaya with additional operations in Setiabudi, serving customers across Indonesia. In a significant recent development, Japan's SBI Holdings acquired a 5.63% stake in October 2025 through the purchase of 1.04 billion shares, becoming the third-largest institutional investor and forming a strategic alliance to leverage expertise for retail and MSME growth, as stated by President Director Vishal Tulsian and Tolaram Managing Director Navin Nahata.
