Business
Amaroq Ltd, formerly Amaroq Minerals Ltd, is a Toronto-headquartered mining company founded in 2017 that focuses on the identification, acquisition, exploration and development of gold and strategic metal properties across South Greenland's Nanortalik Gold Belt, Sava Copper Belt and Gardar Province Mineral Belt, covering approximately 6,800 square kilometres of licences. The company holds a 100% interest in its cornerstone Nalunaq high-grade gold mine, which entered production in 2024 with ramp-up scheduled for completion in 2025; advanced exploration projects at Stendalen and Anoritoq for gold; the Sava Copper Belt targeting copper, nickel and other strategic metals; and the newly established West Greenland Hub incorporating the Black Angel lead-zinc-silver mine with confirmed high-grade critical minerals including germanium, gallium and cadmium, alongside the Kangerluarsuk zinc project. Amaroq operates from offices in Toronto, Iceland and Greenland, serving institutional investors and targeting Western supply chains for energy transition minerals through listings on the TSX Venture Exchange (AMRQ), London Stock Exchange (AMRQ.L), Iceland Stock Exchange (AMRQ) and OTCQX (AMRQF); it maintains offtake agreements with Auramet International for Nalunaq gold and Metalor Technologies for refining. Recent developments include the June 2025 announcement and ongoing completion of strategic acquisitions forming the West Greenland Hub with Black Angel Mining A/S from FBC Mining and Kangerluarsuk licences from 80 Mile plc, alongside a March 2025 mineral resource update at Nalunaq boosting indicated and inferred gold by 51% to 157.6 thousand ounces and 326.3 thousand ounces respectively, plus November 2025 confirmation of commercial-grade critical minerals at Black Angel and discovery of rare earth elements in South Greenland surface samples.
