Business
Career Point Limited is an Indian education company engaged in providing comprehensive educational services and products spanning the entire student life cycle from pre-school through higher education and vocational training. Established in 1993 and headquartered in Kota, India, the company offers a diversified portfolio including tutorial services for test preparation and school curriculum tutoring; pre-school education through its Global Kids brand; K-12 education with integrated school programs for residential and day schools; higher education services for colleges and universities; e-learning solutions encompassing online courses, video lectures, and digital study material; and vocational education aimed at skill development. Career Point operates through company-owned branches, franchise centers, school integrated programs, and distance learning platforms, leveraging technology-enabled education delivery across India. In the last 1-2 years, Career Point completed a strategic merger and demerger restructuring: the education business was demerged into Career Point Edutech Limited, a separately listed entity focused on an asset-light model for higher returns, while Career Point Limited, renamed CP Capital Limited, now concentrates on NBFC and non-core asset management. The company also merged its wholly-owned subsidiary Srajan Capital Limited into itself and plans to divest non-core assets to enhance return on equity. Career Point Infra Limited, a material subsidiary, recently entered a strategic partnership to form 'Sankalp Associates' for real estate and infrastructure development, marking a business expansion beyond core education services. These moves reflect a strategic realignment to sharpen focus on core education and financial services businesses while exploring new growth avenues. Career Point serves regulated and non-regulated education segments, targeting students, educational institutions, and workforce skill enhancement markets primarily in India, with strong brand equity in academic excellence and technology-driven learning solutions. The company is recognized for evolving from a traditional education service provider to a comprehensive education products company with nationwide outreach, specialized test-prep offerings, and digital learning platforms. This strategic focus positions Career Point as a significant player in India’s education sector with diversified revenue streams and ongoing portfolio optimization.
