(CNP.PA) is a leading French insurer specializing in personal risk and protection insurance; savings and pensions products; term creditor insurance; health insurance; and property and casualty coverage, distributed primarily through long-term bancassurance partnerships with La Banque Postale, BPCE group, Caixa Econômica Federal in Brazil, and open architecture models via subsidiaries such as CNP Vita Assicura in Italy and CNP Seguradora in Brazil. Founded in 1959 as the Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance and headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux near Paris, the company operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of La Banque Postale following its full acquisition and delisting from Euronext Paris in 2022; it serves over 36 million policyholders in personal risk and protection and 13 million in savings and pensions across 19 countries in Europe and Latin America, with France generating 63% of premium income (€37.4 billion in 2024), followed by Italy (21%) and Brazil (16%). CNP Assurances leads in French term creditor insurance and ranks second in life insurance, fifth largest in Europe by assets, and fourth in Brazil; its products include unit-linked savings, traditional euro-denominated policies with low guaranteed rates (0.15% average in France), pensions, personal risk protection, health and provident solutions, loan coverage, and property protection, marketed through over 350 partners including subsidiaries CNP Protection Sociale, CNP Retraite, and the Amétis network.
