- Finlay Minerals Ltd. is a Vancouver-based junior mining exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration, and development of high-value copper, gold, silver, and molybdenum deposits in northern British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 1999 and headquartered at 800 West Pender Street, Suite 615, Vancouver, the company holds 100% ownership of five prospective properties: the PIL Property (13,374 hectares in the Toodoggone region with porphyry Cu-Au-Ag targets and epithermal Au-Ag mineralization); the ATTY Property (3,875 hectares contiguous to major projects like Centerra Gold's Kemess and Amarc-Freeport's JOY, featuring the KEM porphyry copper-gold target); the SAY Property (26,202 hectares in the Bear Lake Corridor with high-grade Cu-Ag SPUR vein-breccia system up to 15.8% Cu and 993 g/t Ag, and SHEL Cu-Mo porphyry target); the JJB Property (15,423 hectares north of SAY with gossans and Cu-Au-Ag anomalies); and the Silver Hope Property (21,322 hectares around the past-producing Equity Silver Mine, hosting a 2-km Cu-Ag-Au Main Trend, West Cu-Mo porphyry, and early-stage targets). The company's primary activities encompass geological mapping, soil sampling, geophysics, and drilling to advance porphyry, epithermal, and mesothermal systems targeting copper-gold porphyry, epithermal gold, silver-copper, and molybdenum-copper deposits for junior mining and major partner development in the Stikine Terrane and Skeena Arch regions. In April 2025, Finlay entered into six-year earn-in agreements with Freeport-McMoRan Mineral Properties Canada Inc., under which Freeport funds up to CAD$25 million in exploration on PIL (earning 80% interest with CAD$3 million cash payments) and CAD$10 million on ATTY (earning 80% with CAD$1.1 million payments), with Finlay as operator earning fees; the company completed 2025 exploration programs on both properties including mapping, sampling, and IP surveys fully funded by Freeport, and in July 2024 acquired the SAY Property from Electrum Resource Corporation for CAD$50,000 cash subject to a 1.5% NSR (half buy-back option for CAD$1.5 million).
