Business
Medicover AB (publ) delivers comprehensive healthcare and diagnostic solutions across Europe and India, maintaining its headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. The company operates through distinct divisions: Healthcare Services and Diagnostic Services. Its healthcare arm encompasses primary care, specialized outpatient and inpatient treatments, fertility clinics, dental facilities, hospitals, and wellness centers. Within diagnostic services, Medicover provides an extensive array of laboratory tests for human health, covering areas such as allergy and autoimmune conditions, microbiology, clinical chemistry, hematology, histopathology, molecular biology, and genetics, alongside some veterinary diagnostics. This is all supported by a wide-reaching "hub-and-spoke" laboratory network. Serving a diverse clientele including corporate entities, private individuals, and public healthcare systems, Medicover focuses on growth in Central and Eastern European markets, as well as India. Its operational footprint spans Germany, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, North Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia, Slovenia, and India, among others. Medicover reported robust financial performance in the third quarter of 2025, with revenues climbing to €591.6 million and a positive shift in net income year-over-year. Recent strategic movements include the acquisition of SYNLAB Group’s businesses in several Central and Eastern European countries in April 2025, significantly expanding its diagnostic reach with additional laboratories and blood-drawing points. In India, Medicover Hospitals, which already operates 23 hospitals and two cancer centers, is evaluating a potential separate listing and plans further expansion with new hospital openings. The company, established in 1995, also saw a leadership transition with John Stubbington appointed as the new CEO in May 2025.
