Business
PMET Resources Inc (ASX:PMT) is a Canadian-based pegmatite critical minerals exploration and development company focused on hard-rock lithium and associated metals including caesium, tantalum, gallium, gold, copper and silver. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, the company advances its flagship 100%-owned district-scale Shaakichiuwaanaan Property in Quebec's Eeyou Istchee James Bay region, comprising multiple spodumene-bearing LCT pegmatites such as the world-class CV5 and CV13 deposits that host the largest lithium pegmatite mineral resource in the Americas and the world's largest pollucite-hosted caesium resource; the property supports a positive lithium-only feasibility study outlining up to 800 ktpa spodumene concentrate production via a dense media separation flowsheet, with a maiden probable mineral reserve of 84.3 Mt at 1.26% Li2O. PMET Resources operates primarily in Canada, targeting North American and European clean energy markets through responsible development with local Cree communities and proximity to hydro-power infrastructure. In late 2025, the company entered a definitive agreement to acquire the adjacent Pikwa Property from Azimut Exploration Inc. and SOQUEM Inc., consolidating over 70 km of prospective greenstone belt trend for enhanced LCT pegmatite, orogenic gold and porphyry potential ahead of 2026 exploration; it recently filed an NI 43-101 technical report on the Shaakichiuwaanaan feasibility study and completed a rebranding from Patriot Battery Metals Inc. to reflect its evolution as a diversified critical minerals producer, bolstered by prior strategic investments from Volkswagen/PowerCo and Albemarle as off-take partners.
