Business
Rift Valley Resources Corp. (RVR.CN) is a Canada-based development-stage company principally engaged in evaluating wireless service business opportunities and providing fixed and portable wireless broadband services through its wholly owned subsidiary, Ruralink Wireless Inc.; it develops the QwikCom portable wireless broadband and surveillance system for remote communications, disaster recovery, and facility or border surveillance. The company targets underserved rural and urban markets across North America, particularly in the United States, with initial network construction underway in Crockett, Texas, and Bend, Oregon, as part of a proposed expansion to 130 regional rural networks serving 38 million people and 15.8 million households. Founded on December 14, 2009, and headquartered at 1681 Chestnut Street, Suite 400, Vancouver, British Columbia, Rift Valley focuses on hybrid wireless broadband-broadcast Internet networks leveraging existing infrastructure, spectrum partnerships, and efficient technology for high-speed Internet and over-the-top video streaming to consumers, enterprises, and ISPs. In 2022, the company entered into a binding letter of intent with Ruralink Broadband Inc. to acquire all its securities in a reverse takeover transaction, pivoting its business from prior mineral exploration activities to the wireless broadband sector, with plans to list the resulting issuer on the Canadian Securities Exchange; it extended warrant terms in April 2023 and provided a cease trade order update in September 2023, while confirming no material developments beyond disclosed news releases as of recent filings.
