Business
Sansera Engineering Limited manufactures precision forged and machined components for automotive and non-automotive sectors; its core products encompass rocker arms, gear shifter forks, shafts, connecting rods including fractured and split types, cam shafts, crank shafts, transmission shafts, gears, clutches, flywheels, pulleys, engine components, suspension products, braking assembly components, chassis components, machined engine casings, and aluminum-forged parts ranging from 1.75 grams for aerospace applications to 8,940 grams for automotive use, serving two-wheelers, four-wheelers, electric vehicles, commercial vehicles, off-road vehicles, agriculture, aerospace, medical implants, industrial engines, and stationery engines. Incorporated in 1981 and headquartered in Bengaluru, India, with manufacturing facilities across Bengaluru, Manesar, Pune, Pantnagar, Bidadi, and Gujarat, the company operates globally including through Sansera Sweden AB, following its 2017 acquisition of Mape Sweden AB to enter heavy commercial vehicles. Recent developments include a Rs 12 billion qualified institutional placement in October 2024 to repay debt and fund capital expenditure; strategic investment in MMRFIC Technology Private Limited for a stake rising to around 30% with potential to 51%, targeting aerospace and defence radars; capacity expansions such as a new 70,000 sq. ft. aerospace and defence facility operational by H1FY27, a machining facility at Plant 11 in Bidadi, and Rs 250 crore investment for ADS segment growth aiming Rs 3,000-3,200 crore annual sales in FY26; entry into semiconductor parts manufacturing with ramp-up in Q3-Q4 FY26; and evaluation of warm and cold forging capabilities alongside new product lines in complex structural parts and surface treatment.
