Business
SSPDL Limited (SSPDL.BO), a South India-based real estate developer, constructs and develops commercial properties including information technology parks such as Alpha City and Matrix Towers in Chennai, shopping malls, hotel projects, service apartments, industrial buildings, and resorts; as well as residential properties comprising gated communities like Lakewood Enclave and Kollur township, villas, apartments such as Mayfair Apartments and SSPDL Godrej Azure, and serviced plots including Northwoods in Hyderabad. Incorporated in 1994 and listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company maintains its registered office in Hyderabad, Telangana, with headquarters operations in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and focuses on metropolitan and tier II cities across South India through its flagship entity and special purpose vehicles, executing projects spanning approximately 11 million square feet. Formerly known as Srinivasa Shipping and Property Development Limited until its name change in May 2008, SSPDL Limited completed its largest residential project, The Retreat in Hyderabad for BHEL Employees Cyber Colony, in 2023 and sold shares in four wholly owned subsidiaries—SSPDL Realty India Private Limited, SSPDL Infra Projects India Private Limited, SSPDL Resorts Private Limited, and SSPDL Real Estates India Private Limited—resulting in their cessation as subsidiaries effective December 2022; the company continues to report periodic financial results, including un-audited standalone and consolidated figures for quarters ended December 2024 and ongoing board approvals for subsequent periods in 2025.
