Business
AuMas Resources Berhad, formerly known as Bahvest Resources Berhad, operates as a Malaysia-based investment holding company principally engaged in gold mining activities through its subsidiary Wullersdorf Resources Sdn Bhd; it also pursues silver and copper mining alongside residual aquaculture operations. The company conducts mineral exploration, extraction, and processing at its primary Bukit Mantri site in Tawau, Sabah, covering 317.7 hectares under a renewable 33-year sublease from Southsea Gold Sdn Bhd, featuring epithermal vein-style gold deposits with associated copper and silver mineralization in altered andesite rocks; mining employs modern equipment, low-cost large-scale processes, and carbon-in-leach technology with plant capacity expansions targeting 2,000-2,400 tonnes per day. Incorporated in 2004 as Borneo Aqua Harvest Berhad and headquartered at Kubota Sentral, off Jalan Apas in Tawau, Sabah, the company listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in 2005 and focuses on the Basic Materials sector, serving domestic markets with approximately 240 employees. Recent developments include a rebranding to AuMas Resources Berhad on December 12, 2024, to underscore its mining focus; completion of production facility repairs by end-September 2024, enabling record monthly gold output of 80.274 kilograms and full-year revenue of RM169.821 million from 491.606 kilograms of gold sold at an average RM341,930 per kilogram and 566.295 kilograms of silver at RM3,200 per kilogram. The company raised over RM250 million through warrants conversion for expansions such as refinery investments and acquisitions of smaller mining firms; it entered an exclusive prospecting and contract of works agreement with Aurelius Borneo Mining Sdn Bhd; and continues plant upgrades for higher efficiency alongside strategic ore resource acquisitions.
