Hexagon Composites ASA develops and provides composite cylinder technology and related systems for the safe storage, transportation and distribution of clean energy in gaseous form to homes, industries and for decarbonizing transportation on land and at sea. The company offers natural gas storage and delivery systems, composite natural gas cylinders, natural gas fuel systems for commercial vehicles including refuse fleets and transit buses, cylinder testing and monitoring technologies that reduce downtime and inspection costs while improving accuracy, and high-pressure composite cylinders and systems for compressed natural gas and hydrogen applications; through its Hexagon Agility segment, it supplies clean fuel solutions for heavy-duty commercial vehicles and gas transportation solutions, while Hexagon Digital Wave focuses on innovative testing and digital monitoring solutions. Hexagon Composites operates in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania, with headquarters in Ålesund, Norway, where it was founded in 1985. In 2024, the company sold its Hexagon Ragasco subsidiary, a manufacturer of composite LPG cylinders for leisure, household and industrial use, to Worthington Enterprises for an enterprise value of approximately NOK 1,050 million and acquired a 49% stake in Worthington's Sustainable Energy Solutions alternative fuels business; in July 2025, Hexagon completed the full acquisition of that business, now SES Composites, which produces composite cylinders and systems in Poland and Germany with projected 2025 revenue of EUR 33 million.
