Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE: BF.A, BF.B; LSE: 0HQ3) manufactures and markets premium spirits and wines worldwide. Founded in 1870 and headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, the company produces an extensive portfolio of brands, including Jack Daniel's family of brands (such as Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Gentleman Jack, Jack Daniel's Single Barrel and Tennessee Apple), Woodford Reserve bourbon, Old Forester bourbon, Herradura and el Jimador tequilas, Finlandia vodka, Diplomático rum, the Glendronach, Glenglassaugh and Benriach single malt Scotch whiskies; Gin Mare and Fords gins, Chambord liqueur, Korbel champagne, New Mix ready-to-drink products and Slane Irish whiskey. It also sells used barrels, bulk whiskey and wine, and provides contract bottling services to retail customers, consumers, distributors, state governments, retailers, wholesalers and provincial governments across more than 170 countries, with key operations in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Poland, Brazil, Turkey, France, Japan and other international markets. In January 2025, Brown-Forman announced strategic initiatives including a global restructuring of its executive leadership team, a 12% workforce reduction impacting about 600 employees, and the closure of its Louisville Cooperage barrel-making facility by April 2025 to source barrels externally, projecting $70-80 million in annualized cost savings and over $30 million in asset sale proceeds. In May 2025, the company reshaped its U.S. distribution network by appointing new partners across 13 markets effective August 1, 2025, elevating Breakthru Beverage Group as its largest national distributor covering 14 U.S. and Canadian markets and expanding partnerships such as with Johnson Brothers in six additional states including Indiana, Minnesota and Texas.
