Fastenal Company Fastenal Company engages in the wholesale distribution of industrial and construction supplies throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and internationally through a network of over 3,300 in-market locations, on-site vending solutions, and distribution centers. The company offers a broad portfolio of products including fasteners such as bolts, nuts, screws, studs, and washers; safety supplies; cutting tools; tools and equipment; hydraulics; material handling items; janitorial products; electrical supplies; welding equipment; and miscellaneous hardware like pins, machinery keys, concrete anchors, metal framing systems, wire ropes, strut products, and rivets; as well as custom manufacturing capabilities encompassing cold forming through its Holo-Krome division, hot forged bolting via Cardinal Fastener, and precision machining through its Spensall division in the UK. Fastenal provides supply chain services including inventory management via FASTStock, FASTBin, and FASTVend vending devices; bin stock solutions; total cost of ownership analysis; engineering and lab services such as bolted joint design analysis, fastener failure analysis, and testing; and serves manufacturing original equipment manufacturers, maintenance repair and operations customers, non-residential construction, farmers, truckers, railroads, mining companies, schools, retail trades, oil and gas entities, and government customers. Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Winona, Minnesota, the company operates subsidiaries across North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and other regions including Fastenal Europe Ltd in the UK, Fastenal Canada Ltd, and Fastenal (Shanghai) International Trading Co Ltd in China. Recent developments include the completion of a replacement Utah hub distribution facility and commencement of a replacement Atlanta hub in 2025 to enhance picking capacity and efficiency; signing of 19,925 weighted FASTBin and FASTVend devices through the first nine months of 2025 with a full-year goal of 25,000 to 26,000; entry into a multi-year partnership with the Edmonton Oilers in November 2025; and acquisition of Fasteners, Inc., a distributor of fasteners and industrial supplies, in 2025.
