Business
Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. (TSX: MPVD; OTC: MPVD), founded in 1986 and headquartered in Toronto, Canada, engages in the exploration, mining, and independent marketing of natural rough diamonds from Canada's Northwest Territories. The company holds a 49% interest in the Gahcho Kué diamond mine, operated in joint venture with De Beers Canada Inc., which produces a broad range of white commercial diamonds, large high-value Special stones, fancy colours, and small white and brown diamonds exhibiting varying degrees of natural fluorescence; it also owns 100% of the mineral rights to the highly prospective Kennady North Project, encompassing over 96,000 hectares surrounding the Gahcho Kué mine, including indicated resources at the Kelvin kimberlite and inferred resources at the Faraday kimberlites. Mountain Province Diamonds markets its share of rough diamonds transparently through a secure online bidding system to major manufacturers, polishers, retailers, traders, and financiers in key markets including Belgium, India, Israel, UAE, Canada, and China. In 2025, the company amended its bridge credit facility with Dunebridge Worldwide Ltd. to increase availability by US$10 million to US$40 million, further amended terms of its CAD33 million working capital facility, closed refinancing transactions, and reported sustained mining into high-grade 5034-NEX material at Gahcho Kué, positioning for substantially higher carat production in Q4 2025 and 2026.
