Business
China Youran Dairy Group Limited operates as an integrated provider of products and services across the upstream dairy industry chain in China, encompassing breeding, forage grass, feed, and dairy farming; it supplies raw milk and specialty raw milk varieties including organic milk, Jersey milk, organic Jersey milk, DHA milk, A2 milk, organic A2 milk, selenium-enriched milk, and goat milk to dairy manufacturers. The company offers nutritious concentrated feeds for dairy cows, beef cattle, sheep, dairy goats, camels, and yaks; alfalfa hay and silage from 16 nationwide plantation bases; breeding products such as frozen bovine semen, sex-sorted frozen semen, embryos, and advanced genomic selection technologies through its subsidiary SKX; and over 10,000 ruminant farming consumables including veterinary drugs and equipment via its online platform Jumuc.com and 26 offline pick-up stores. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China, with its registered office in the Cayman Islands, the company manages 97 large-scale dairy farms raising 622,000 cows primarily in China's golden milk belt and expanding into central and southern provinces, while employing 12,373 people and reporting 2024 revenue of RMB 20.096 billion, up 7.5% year on year. In 2024, China Youran Dairy pioneered China's first ruminant carbon-reducing and yield-increasing feed, a novel mutton sheep feed mimicking pasture-raised taste, and multi-stage fermented feeds for beef cattle and sheep, expanding its feed portfolio to 12 major brands with concentrated feed sales for beef and sheep rising 44.5% year on year; its SKX subsidiary produced over 25,000 sex-sorted dairy cow embryos, up 75.7%, developed bovine functional extended embryonic stem cells, and launched the 'Breeding No. 1 Chip' for genomic testing, with its bulls dominating U.S. genetic rankings including a record TPI of 3373 in April 2025. Recent strategic moves include a 2025 agreement to sell its National Center of Technology Innovation in Dairy (NCTID) research center to a Yili Group subsidiary for accelerated development under a light-asset model while retaining leasing access, alongside ongoing collaborations with Yili Finance and global experts like Dr. Mike Hutchins on nutrition technology.
