Recent developments include the August 2025 announcement of exclusive talks to acquire South Korea's DIG Airgas for over $3.3 billion, financed by a €2.15 billion bond issuance in October 2025; investments exceeding €500 million in 2025 for expansions such as up to $850 million in oxygen production for ExxonMobil's low-carbon hydrogen project in Baytown, Texas, €110 million subsidy-backed low-carbon hydrogen network in Antwerp-Bruges, Belgium, and nearly $50 million in U.S. Gulf Coast hydrogen infrastructure upgrades; formation of the TEAL joint venture with TotalEnergies to deploy over 100 hydrogen refueling stations in Europe; divestiture of 12 subsidiaries in West and Central Africa and the Indian Ocean to Adenia Partners in 2024; and long-term power purchase agreements with Iberdrola for renewable energy in Spain and Portugal, alongside renewable PPAs with Sasol and Enel Green Power.
