Public Joint Stock Company Inarctica (PJSC Inarctica) is Russia's leading producer of farmed Atlantic salmon, sea trout and rainbow trout, operating a vertically integrated aquaculture business focused on breeding, harvesting and distribution of fresh and chilled premium fish products. The company farms Atlantic salmon and sea trout at 10 sites in the pristine waters of the Barents Sea in the Murmansk Region; rainbow trout and lake trout at three farms in Karelia's Lake Segozero; and maintains 34 farming sites overall with advanced sea cages, recirculation aquaculture systems (RAS) hatcheries and a new feed mill under construction to achieve feed self-sufficiency. Products are sold under the INARCTICA brand primarily to federal retail chains in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow Region and other major Russian cities including Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar, Ekaterinburg and Novosibirsk, emphasizing rapid delivery of chilled fish within two to five days post-harvest. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Moscow with key operations in Murmansk and Karelia, the company rebranded from PJSC Russian Aquaculture in August 2022 to reflect its Arctic focus; recent developments include acquisitions of the Mulinsky sturgeon and trout farm in Nizhny Novgorod and the Arkhangelsk algae plant in 2023 for diversification into crayfish, shrimp and algae processing; sale of three Norwegian smolt plants in early 2023 amid regulatory pressures; completion of a fry hatchery in Kondopoga; record 2024 revenue of RUB 31.5 billion from 25,700 tonnes of commercial product; and upgraded credit ratings to A+(RU) by ACRA with ongoing construction of a 70,000-tonne feed factory.
