Blackbird plc (AIM: BIRD.L), a London-based technology company founded in 1998 and headquartered at Labs House, 15-19 Bloomsbury Way, London WC1A 2TH, UK, develops and licenses cloud-native video editing and publishing platforms leveraging its proprietary ultra-fast video codec technology for broadcasters, media enterprises, content creators, sports organizations, news outlets, and corporate video teams across the UK, Europe, North America, and internationally. The company offers Blackbird, an enterprise-grade suite of browser-based applications enabling frame-accurate remote video viewing, logging, collaborative editing, rough cutting, fine cut editing, and publishing in formats including HD, 4K, UHD, MPEG, Ogg, XDCAM, EDL, HTML video, and to destinations such as social media (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter), OTT platforms, and cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure); elevate.io, a next-generation SaaS platform in general release since March 2024 with real-time multiplayer collaboration, plug-in architecture for AI and analytics extensions, vertical video support, payment gateway, freemium model, and features for clips, highlights, and long-form content aimed at the creator economy; and a "Powered by Blackbird" licensing model for video companies transitioning to cloud workflows.
