Business
Cooks Coffee Company Limited is an international operator within the food and beverage sector, primarily focusing on its network of franchised and managed cafes. The company is dual-listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange and the Aquis Exchange in London. At its core, Cooks Coffee oversees the Esquires Coffee brand, holding global master franchise rights outside of Australia and New Zealand. Esquires is distinguished by its commitment to ethically sourced, organic coffee and an expanded food selection, emphasizing local communities and sustainable practices. The company's key markets are the United Kingdom and Ireland, where it is actively expanding its footprint through a regional developer and franchising model, targeting over 300 locations by 2035. As of late 2025, the Esquires brand encompasses approximately 108 stores across 10 diverse markets, including Portugal, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia, with recent expansion into the Indian market via a Master Franchise Agreement. While previously holding the Triple Two Coffee brand, this subsidiary was placed into voluntary liquidation in September 2023, allowing for a concentrated focus on the Esquires business. Cooks Coffee Company, founded in 2008, maintains its headquarters in Auckland, New Zealand.
