In June 2025, Chorus completes its Big Fibre Boost by upgrading wholesale residential fibre tiers from 300/100 Mbps to 500/100 Mbps and entry-level plans from 50/10 Mbps to 100/20 Mbps free of charge for over 700,000 homes, alongside network extensions passing 7,000 additional addresses including 2,000 in smaller communities; earlier in February 2025, it renews and extends NZ$1 billion field services agreements with partners Downer NZ and UCG, reports FY25 results with operating revenue of $1,014 million, EBITDA of $705 million and net profit of $4 million driven by 31,000 new fibre connections and 72.1% uptake, and advances its transition to an all-fibre digital infrastructure operator with robust cost management and $559 million operating cash flows up 9%.
