SBF AG, through its subsidiary SBF Spezialleuchten GmbH, develops, manufactures and distributes ceiling and lighting systems for indoor and outdoor rail vehicles, including interior and exterior lighting as well as ceiling systems for trams, underground and suburban trains, regional trains and high-speed trains; the company also offers intelligent LED systems for public and industrial lighting, electromechanics and sensor technology products such as circuit boards, sensors and communication technology, and complex interior solutions for rolling stock. Primarily serving rail vehicle manufacturers, system providers, municipal transport authorities and industrial clients, SBF AG operates in the industrials sector with a focus on transportation equipment and benefits from megatrends such as climate protection, mobility and urbanization across Europe. Founded in 1862 and headquartered in Leipzig, Germany, at Zaucheweg 4, SBF AG is a subsidiary of ELBER GmbH and maintains approximately 335 employees.
