Business
De.mem Limited (ASX:DEM) is an Australian-based water treatment company specializing in decentralized, on-site water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial clients, utilizing proprietary hollow-fiber membrane technologies. The company designs, builds, owns and operates turnkey systems including membrane systems, specialty chemicals, pumps, services and equipment, as well as long-term Build-Own-Operate (BOO) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts; it also supplies consumables, domestic water treatment systems and replacement membrane cartridges. De.mem serves sectors such as mining, electronics, chemicals, oil and gas, food and beverage, agriculture and heavy industry, alongside municipal, residential and hospitality clients including hotels and resorts. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in South Melbourne, Australia, De.mem maintains operations across Australia (Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Launceston, Caboolture, Kalgoorlie, Epping and Wodonga), Singapore and Velbert, Germany, with approximately 70 employees and a focus on the Asia Pacific region where over 90% of revenue is recurring. Recent developments include the October 2025 acquisition of Core Chemicals for AUD 3 million, expanding access to 18 gold mines in Western Australia; the July 2025 announcement to acquire Geomembrane Technologies Inc. (GTI) for CAD 6.5 million (AUD 7.2 million, approximately AUD 4.75 million equivalent), enhancing North American presence and cross-selling opportunities; and a 16% revenue increase to outperform industry averages in H1 2025, supported by AUD 1.515 million in operational cash flow over 12 months alongside investments in Singapore membrane technologies.
