Global X MSCI SuperDividend EAFE ETF (EFAS) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to correspond to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI EAFE Top 50 Dividend Index. The fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities comprising the underlying index, which tracks 50 equally weighted, high-dividend-yielding equity securities selected from the MSCI EAFE Index of developed markets in Europe, Australasia, and the Far East; eligible countries include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Components span large-, mid-, and small-capitalization companies across sectors such as financials (approximately 34%), materials (12%), energy (11%), real estate (10%), utilities (10%), communication services (9%), consumer staples (7%), industrials (6%), and consumer discretionary (2%), with top holdings including Caixabank SA, Repsol SA, Hongkong Land Holdings Ltd, Banco BPM SpA, and British American Tobacco PLC. Launched on November 14, 2016, and listed on NASDAQ, EFAS employs a passive replication or representative sampling strategy to track the annually rebalanced underlying index, delivering monthly distributions for eight consecutive years and maintaining a net expense ratio of 0.55% with approximately $33 million in assets under management. The fund, managed by Global X Management Company LLC—a subsidiary of Mirae Asset Financial Group headquartered at 605 Third Avenue in New York, New York, and founded in 2008—targets investors seeking high dividend yields from international developed markets outside North America to diversify geographic, currency, and interest rate exposures. Recent developments include Mirae Asset Global Investments and Global X's acquisition of ETF Securities Australia in 2025, adding roughly A$4.7 billion in assets under management and expanding product offerings in thematic, commodities, and digital asset strategies across Australia. The firm also announced ETF closures and estimated 2025 annual non-cash distributions, alongside monthly distribution declarations such as $0.0720 and $0.0706, reflecting ongoing portfolio management amid market volatility. In 2025, Global X entered a strategic partnership with Nasdaq Dorsey Wright for momentum-based investing enhancements.
