- Ecoener, S.A. (ENER.MC) is a Spanish multinational renewable energy company that develops, constructs, promotes, manages, maintains, operates, and dismantles electricity generation facilities from renewable sources. The company generates and sells power through hydropower plants; wind farms; solar photovoltaic plants; energy commercialization activities; and other services, including storage projects under development. It operates 656MW in generation capacity, including six hydroelectric plants in Galicia, Spain, and one in Guatemala totaling approximately 55MW; eight wind farms in Gran Canaria, five in La Gomera, and two in Galicia totaling 104-107MW; and 182-264MWp solar capacity across Gran Canaria, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia, with additional 159MW under construction and substantial pipelines in development. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in La Coruna, Spain, the company, a subsidiary of Luis De Valdivia, S.L., changed its name from Grupo Ecoener S.A.U. to Ecoener, S.A. in July 2023.
